In Friday's league outing, the Classical Purples (Providence, RI) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI), by a margin of 75-51.

The Purples (10-9) will now prepare for their outing against Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI). The Villa Novans go into the State Championship outing with a 7-13 record. In their last outing, Woonsocket was trounced by La Salle Academy (Providence, RI), 71-48, in a league outing.

The Bulldogs now own a 5-13 record. They play next when they host North Kingstown for a State Championship outing on Tuesday, February 14. Westerly will clash with a Skippers squad coming off a 53-50 league win over Woonsocket (Woonsocket, RI). The Skippers record now stands at 5-12.
