The Crab Orchard Trojans basketball team scored 85 points and held the visiting Norris City-Omaha-Enfield Fighting Cardinals to 71 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Friday.
The Trojans now sport a 25-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cairo for a non-league contest on Monday, February 13. Crab Orchard will battle a Pilots team coming off a 89-36 non-league loss to Lovejoy (Lovejoy, IL). The Pilots record now stands at 2-25.
The Fighting Cardinals (15-12) will now prepare for their contest against Carrier Mills-Stonefort (Carrier Mills, IL). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 3-20 record. In their last contest, Carrier Mills-Stonefort ran past Hardin County (Elizabethtown, IL), 58-49, in a league match.
