Crystal Springs Uplands Gryphons (Hillsborough, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Eastside College Prep Panthers (East Palo Alto, CA), 51-50 in a league bout.

With the victory, Crystal Springs Uplands upgrades its record to 10-10 on the campaign. The Gryphons host Pinewood (Los Altos Hills, CA) to play the Panthers in a West Bay bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 8-13. Pinewood won 57-48 in their recent league bout against Harker (San Jose, CA)

Next up, the Panthers play the Harker Eagles (San Jose, CA) in a West Bay bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Eastside College Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 14-8 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 15-8 record after their 57-48 league loss to Pinewood (Los Altos Hills, CA).
