Sabine Cardinals (Gladewater, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Daingerfield Tigers (Daingerfield, TX), 47-46 in a league bout.

With the victory, Sabine upgrades its record to 10-19 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Hughes Springs (Hughes Springs, TX) to play the Mustangs in a 3A Region II District 15 bout on Monday, February 13. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 6-13. Hughes Springs lost 53-30 in their recent league bout against White Oak (White Oak, TX)
