Savannah Classical Academy Spartans (Savannah, GA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs (Twin City, GA), 59-54 in a league bout.

With the victory, Savannah Classical Academy upgrades its record to 5-15 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Montgomery County (Mt. Vernon, GA) to play the Eagles in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 10-15. Montgomery County lost 83-65 in their recent non-league bout against Treutlen (Soperton, GA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers (Darien, GA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Emanuel County Institute will attempt to upgrade on its 1-23 season record. The Buccaneers come into the bout with a 11-14 record after their 80-68 non-league win over Bacon County (Alma, GA).
