Texas High School Basketball - Farwell edges Panhandle

The Farwell Steers (Farwell, TX) basketball nipped the host Panhandle Panthers (Panhandle, TX), 43-40 in Friday's league test.

The Steers (24-4) will now prepare for their test against Bovina (Bovina, TX). The Mustangs go into the 2A Region I District 3 test with a 14-14 record.

The Panthers now own a 19-7 record. They play next when they travel to Boys Ranch for a 2A Region I District 3 test on Tuesday, February 14. Panhandle will encounter a Roughriders squad coming off a 70-40 league loss to Vega (Vega, TX). The Roughriders record now stands at 10-15.
