Texas High School Basketball - Port Neches-Groves knocked off by Goose Creek Memorial

The Goose Creek Memorial Patriots basketball team scored 54 points and held the host Port Neches-Groves Indians to 44 in the Patriots league triumph on Friday.
The Patriots now sport a 19-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Port Arthur Memorial for a 5A Region III District 17 contest on Tuesday, February 14. Goose Creek Memorial will battle a Titans team coming off a 66-35 league win over Lee (Baytown, TX). The Titans record now stands at 26-8.
The Indians (15-16) will now prepare for their contest against Nederland (Nederland, TX). The Bulldogs enter the 5A Region III District 17 contest with a 13-17 record. In their last contest, Nederland was defeated by Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX), 61-54, in a league contest.
