Grassfield Grizzlies (Chesapeake, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Indian River Braves (Chesapeake, VA), 77-66 in a league bout.

With the win, Grassfield upgrades its record to 10-12 on the season. The Grizzlies travel to Hickory (Chesapeake, VA) to play the Hawks in a Southeastern bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Hawks go into the bout with a record of 0-21. Hickory lost 73-45 in their recent league bout against Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA)

Next up, the Braves play the Oscar Smith Tigers (Chesapeake, VA) in a Southeastern bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Indian River will attempt to upgrade on its 8-10 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 20-1 record after their 87-61 league win over Nansemond River (Suffolk, VA).
