Griswold Wolverines (Griswold, CT) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Stonington Bears (Stonington, CT), 81-65 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Griswold upgrades its record to 17-2 on the campaign. The Wolverines host Wheeler (North Stonington, CT) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Friday, February 17. The Lions come into the bout with a record of 14-4.
Next up, the Bears play the Killingly Redmen (Killingly, CT) in a Eastern Connecticut II bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Stonington will attempt to upgrade on its 8-9 season record. The Redmen come into the bout with a 12-5 record after their 67-23 non-league win over Plainfield (Central Village, CT).
