St. Raphael Academy Saints (Pawtucket, RI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Johnston Panthers (Johnston, RI), 77-70 in a league bout.

With the victory, St. Raphael Academy upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Saints travel to Toll Gate (Warwick, RI) to play the Titans in a Division 2 bout on Saturday, February 11. The Titans come into the bout with a record of 5-14. Toll Gate lost 78-34 in their recent league bout against Burrillville (Harrisville, RI)

Next up, the Panthers play the Lincoln Lions (Lincoln, RI) in a Division 2 bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Johnston will attempt to upgrade on its 16-3 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 14-3 record after their 47-37 league win over Rogers (Newport, RI).
