The Knippa Crushers basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Nueces Canyon Panthers to 36 in the Crushers league triumph on Friday.

The Crushers now sport a 11-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to San Perlita for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 21. Knippa will meet a Trojans team coming off a 79-49 league win over Lasara (Lasara, TX). The Trojans record now stands at 12-16.

The Panthers (4-16) will now prepare for their contest against Leakey (Leakey, TX). The Eagles come into the 1A Region IV District 31 challenge with a 9-15 record. In their last challenge, Leakey was crushed by Utopia (Utopia, TX), 62-58, in a league challenge.
