Texas High School Basketball - Leakey can't hold off Utopia

The Leakey Eagles basketball team (Leakey, TX), was nudged 62-58 in Friday's league battle with the host Utopia Buffaloes (Utopia, TX)
The Buffaloes now sport a 9-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Medina for a 1A Region IV District 31 battle on Tuesday, February 14. Utopia will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 71-40 league loss to D'Hanis (D'Hanis, TX). The Bobcats record now stands at 5-17.
The Eagles (9-15) will now prepare for their battle against Nueces Canyon (Barksdale, TX). The Panthers come into the 1A Region IV District 31 battle with a 4-16 record. In their last battle, Nueces Canyon was nudged by Knippa (Knippa, TX), 61-36, in a league battle.
