The Malakoff Tigers basketball team (Malakoff, TX), was overwhelmed 61-28 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Scurry-Rosser Wildcats (Scurry, TX)

The Wildcats now possess a 18-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Blooming Grove for a 3A Region III District 18 battle on Tuesday, February 14. Scurry-Rosser will confront a Lions team coming off a 60-54 league loss to Kemp (Kemp, TX). The Lions record now stands at 11-11.

The Tigers (5-9) will now prepare for their battle against Rice (Rice, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 3A Region III District 18 battle with a 3-21 record. In their last battle, Rice was overwhelmed by Mildred (Corsicana, TX), 57-40, in a league battle.
