The Mathews Mustangs ran past the host St. John Fighting Herald basketball team by a final score of 53-41 in Friday's league game.
In their next game, the Mustangs face the Brookfield Warriors (Brookfield, OH) in a non-league game, on Friday, February 17. Mathews will attempt to move on its 14-7 season record. The Warriors enter the game with a 16-5 record after their 61-42 league win over Garfield (Garrettsville, OH).
With the defeat, St. John moves to 4-15 on the year. The Fighting herald travel to Maplewood (Cortland, OH) to face the Rockets in a Northeastern game on Monday, February 13. The Rockets enter the game with a record of 6-12. Maplewood lost 71-42 in their recent league game against Pymatuning Valley (Andover, OH)
