Georgia High School Basketball - McIntosh County Academy can't hold off Montgomery County

February 10, 2023: Mt. Vernon, GA 30445

The Montgomery County Eagles basketball team scored 59 points and restricted the visiting McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers to 56 in the Eagles league victory on Friday.

The Eagles now sport a 10-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Treutlen for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 11. Montgomery County will battle a Vikings team coming off a 73-62 non-league loss to Hancock Central (Sparta, GA). The Vikings record now stands at 11-13.

The Buccaneers (10-14) will now prepare for their contest against Bacon County (Alma, GA). The Raiders come into the non-league contest with a 6-12 record. In their last contest, Bacon County was nudged by Pelham (Pelham, GA), 62-51, in a league contest.

McIntosh County Academy

Congratulations to #10 Jeremiah Barlow for being selected the McIntosh County Academy Basketball Player of the Game.
