Tremont Turks (Tremont, IL) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Midwest Central Raiders (Manito, IL), 87-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Tremont upgrades its record to 16-11 on the campaign. The Turks host Clinton (Clinton, IL) to play the Maroons in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Maroons come into the bout with a record of 23-6. Clinton won 70-44 in their recent league bout against Central A & M (Moweaqua, IL)

Next up, the Raiders play the Hartsburg-Emden Stags (Hartsburg, IL) in a Tomahawk bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Midwest Central will attempt to upgrade on its 11-15 season record. The Stags come into the bout with a 7-20 record after their 61-43 non-league loss to Ridgeview (Colfax, IL).
