Waconia Wildcats (Waconia, MN) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting New Prague Trojans (New Prague, MN), 65-52 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Waconia upgrades its record to 8-11 on the season. The Wildcats host Jefferson (Bloomington, MN) to clash with the Jaguars in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Jaguars go into the bout with a record of 9-8. Jefferson won 60-55 in their recent non-league bout against Duluth East (Duluth, MN)

Next up, the Trojans clash with the Orono Spartans (Long Lake, MN) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 14. New Prague will attempt to upgrade on its 4-16 season record. The Spartans go into the bout with a 13-6 record after their 78-68 non-league win over Chanhassen (Chanhassen, MN).
