In Friday's league outing, the Ouachita Parish Lions (Monroe, LA) basketball squad edged the host West Monroe Rebels (West Monroe, LA), by a count of 68-65.
The Lions (14-12) will now prepare for their outing against Alexandria (Alexandria, LA). The Trojans go into the 5A District 2 outing with a 17-15 record. In their last outing, Alexandria was tipped by Ruston (Ruston, LA), 66-29, in a league outing.
The Rebels now hold a 11-13 record. They play next when they travel to Pineville for a 5A District 2 outing on Tuesday, February 14. West Monroe will clash with a Rebels squad coming off a 71-42 league win over West Ouachita (West Monroe, LA). The Rebels record now stands at 18-8.
