Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Phoebus Phantoms (Hampton, VA), 71-31 in a league bout.

With the win, Woodside upgrades its record to 16-5 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Denbigh (Newport News, VA) to play the Patriots in a Peninsula bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 3-16. Denbigh lost 65-28 in their recent league bout against Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA)

Next up, the Phantoms play the Gloucester Dukes (Gloucester, VA) in a Peninsula bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Phoebus will attempt to upgrade on its 10-12 season record. The Dukes go into the bout with a 1-20 record after their 64-46 league loss to Warwick (Newport News, VA).
