The Sundown Roughnecks basketball team (Sundown, TX), was nudged 39-37 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Plains Cowboys (Plains, TX)
The Cowboys now sport a 25-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Seagraves for a 2A Region I District 5 battle on Tuesday, February 14. Plains will battle a Eagles team coming off a 66-42 league win over Tahoka (Tahoka, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 18-12.
The Roughnecks (8-13) will now prepare for their battle against Ropes (Ropesville, TX). The Eagles come into the 2A Region I District 5 battle with a 14-13 record. In their last battle, Ropes was nudged by New Home (New Home, TX), 59-40, in a league battle.
