The Southland Eagles (Southland, TX) basketball felled the host Wilson Mustangs (Wilson, TX), 52-43 in Friday's league test.
The Eagles (7-6) will now prepare for their test against Crosbyton (Crosbyton, TX). The Chiefs go into the 1A Region I District 6 test with a 10-9 record. In their last test, Crosbyton thwarted Borden County (Gail, TX), 42-32, in a league test.
The Mustangs now own a 8-26 record. They play next when they travel to Lorenzo for a 1A Region I District 6 test on Tuesday, February 14. Wilson will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 70-57 league win over Petersburg (Petersburg, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 21-10.
