Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Valley View Cougars (Archbald, PA) and the visiting West Scranton Invaders (Scranton, PA), saw Valley View's basketball squad overcome West Scranton by a tally of 54-34.

With the victory, Valley View improves its record to 17-3 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Scranton Prep (Scranton, PA) to confront the Cavaliers in a Lackawanna 1 challenge on Tuesday, February 14. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 13-8. Scranton Prep won 75-67 in their recent non-league challenge against Delaware Valley (Milford, PA)

Next up, the Invaders confront the Abington Heights Comets (Clarks Summit, PA) in a Lackawanna 1 challenge, on Tuesday, February 14. West Scranton will attempt to improve on its 12-9 season record. The Comets come into the challenge with a 18-3 record after their 64-50 league win over Wallenpaupack Area (Hawley, PA).
