Masconomet Regional Chieftains (Boxford, MA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Marblehead Magicians (Marblehead, MA), 51-43 in a league bout.

With the win, Masconomet Regional upgrades its record to 1-3 on the season.

Next up, the Magicians play the Gloucester Fishermen (Gloucester, MA) in a bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Marblehead will attempt to upgrade on its 12-2 season record. The Fishermen go into the bout with a 0-1 record after their 69-28 league loss to Beverly (Beverly, MA).
