Wittenberg-Birnamwood Chargers (Wittenberg, WI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Amherst Falcons (Amherst, WI), 55-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, Wittenberg-Birnamwood upgrades its record to 18-3 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Wabeno/Laona (Wabeno, WI) to play the Rebels in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Rebels come into the bout with a record of 13-5. Wabeno/Laona lost 48-36 in their recent non-league bout against Neillsville (Neillsville, WI)

Next up, the Falcons play the Marathon Red Raiders (Marathon, WI) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Amherst will attempt to upgrade on its 8-13 season record. The Red Raiders come into the bout with a 9-10 record after their 64-45 non-league loss to Phillips (Phillips, WI).
