Carlsbad Cavemen (Carlsbad, NM) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Roswell Coyotes (Roswell, NM), 29-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Carlsbad upgrades its record to 22-2 on the season. The Cavemen host Clovis (Clovis, NM) to clash with the Wildcats in a 5A District 4 bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 17-6. Clovis lost 73-42 in their recent league bout against Hobbs (Hobbs, NM)

Next up, the Coyotes clash with the Hobbs Eagles (Hobbs, NM) in a 5A District 4 bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Roswell will attempt to upgrade on its 9-15 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 20-3 record after their 73-42 league win over Clovis (Clovis, NM).
