The Shelton Gaels basketball team scored 32 points and held the visiting Guilford Grizzlies to 25 in the Gaels non-league triumph on Friday.
The Gaels now sport a 5-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Haven for a non-league contest on Monday, February 13. Shelton will meet a Nighthawks team coming off a 75-35 non-league win over Branford (Branford, CT). The Nighthawks record now stands at 14-5.
The Grizzlies (3-14) will now prepare for their contest against Somers (Somers, CT). The Spartans enter the non-league contest with a 14-5 record. In their last contest, Somers was nudged by Ellington (Ellington, CT), 48-40, in a league contest.
