Holland Christian Maroons (Holland, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Spring Lake Lakers (Spring Lake, MI), 49-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Holland Christian upgrades its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Maroons host Allendale (Allendale, MI) to play the Falcons in a Ottawa-Kent - Blue bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Falcons come into the bout with a record of 7-11. Allendale lost 52-12 in their recent league battle against West Catholic (Grand Rapids, MI)

The Lakers (7-9) will now prepare for their battle against Unity Christian (Hudsonville, MI). The Crusaders come into the Ottawa-Kent - Blue battle with a 7-11 record. In their last battle, Unity Christian was nudged by Hamilton (Hamilton, MI), 35-28, in a league battle.
