Utah High School Basketball - Lehi thwarts Mountain View

The Lehi Pioneers (Lehi, UT) basketball knocked off the host Mountain View Bruins (Orem, UT), 53-42 in Friday's league test.
The Pioneers (15-6) will now prepare for their test against Timpanogos (Orem, UT). The Timberwolves go into the 5A Region 8 test with a 12-7 record.
The Bruins now own a 7-10 record. They play next when they host Jordan for a 5A Region 8 test on Tuesday, February 14. Mountain View will encounter a Beetdiggers squad coming off a 61-49 league loss to Lehi (Lehi, UT). The Beetdiggers record now stands at 12-9.
First Quarter
Sammi Love, Addy scrivner, and Ellie Hill scored all 11 points for the Pioneers in the first quarter. Mt. View also scored 11 points in the quarter.
Second Quarter
Ellie Hill hit 2-threes in the second quarter and Kaleigh Freeman also made a three as Lehi scored 11 points in the period. Mt. View scored 10 and at the end of the first half it is a 1 point -game with Lehi ahead 22 to 21.
Third Quarter
Lehi had a great third quarter outscoring Mt View 22 to 13. Addy Scrivner made 2 threes and ended with 10 points in the period. Mackinzie Jepson and Sammi love also made a three pointer. The score at the end of the third quarter is Lehi 44 and Mt. View 34.
Fourth Quarter
Lehi scored 9 points and Mt. View had 8 in the final quarter. The final is Lehi 53 and Mt. View 42. Addy Scrivner led all scorers with 19 points. Sammi Love and Ellie Hill scored in double figures for the Pioneers. Lehi had a total of 9 threes in the contest.
