Medford Raiders (Medford, WI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Northland Pines Eagles (Eagle River, WI), 46-41 in a league bout.

With the victory, Medford upgrades its record to 6-16 on the campaign. The Raiders travel to Chippewa Falls (Chippewa Falls, WI) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 14. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 2-21. Chippewa Falls lost 72-38 in their recent league bout against New Richmond (New Richmond, WI)

Next up, the Eagles play the Lakeland Thunderbirds (Minocqua, WI) in a Great Northern bout, on Friday, February 17. Northland Pines will attempt to upgrade on its 1-15 season record. The Thunderbirds come into the bout with a 16-6 record after their 74-27 league win over Rhinelander (Rhinelander, WI).
