Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the West Central Area Knights (Barrett, MN) and the visiting Melrose Dutchmen (Melrose, MN), saw West Central Area's basketball squad knock off Melrose by a count of 55-42.

With the victory, West Central Area upgrades its record to 9-11 on the campaign. The Knights host Minnewaska Area (Glenwood, MN) to play the Lakers in a AA Section 3 challenge on Thursday, February 16. The Lakers come into the challenge with a record of 9-10.

Next up, the Dutchmen play the Minnewaska Area Lakers (Glenwood, MN) in a AA Section 3 challenge, on Tuesday, February 14. Melrose will attempt to upgrade on its 3-18 season record.
