In Friday's league battle, the visiting Aledo Bearcats soccer squad scored a close 6-1 win over the Azle Hornets.
The Bearcats (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against Granbury (Granbury, TX). The Pirates go into the 5A Region 1 District 5 battle with a 5-5 record. In their last battle, Granbury nipped Azle (Azle, TX), 2-1, in a league battle.
The Hornets (7-5) will now prepare for their battle against Brewer (Fort Worth, TX). The Bears go into the 5A Region 1 District 5 battle with a 6-8 record. In their last battle, Brewer was overwhelmed by Aledo (Aledo, TX), 6-0, in a league battle.
