In Friday's league battle, the host Grapevine Mustangs soccer squad scored a close 1-0 triumph over the Argyle Eagles.
The Mustangs (11-3) will now prepare for their battle against Richland (North Richland Hills, TX). The Royals come into the 5A Region 1 District 7 battle with a 6-7 record. In their last battle, Richland Ryan (Denton, TX), 1-1, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Denton Broncos (Denton, TX) in a 5A Region 1 District 7 bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Argyle will attempt to move on its 11-3 season record. The Broncos go into the bout with a 4-7 record after their 2-0 league loss to Lake Dallas (Corinth, TX).
