In Friday's non-league match, the host Appomattox County Raiders basketball team scored a tight 49-47 triumph over the Gretna Hawks.
In their next game, the Raiders meet the William Campbell Generals (Naruna, VA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, February 14. Appomattox County will attempt to better on its 12-5 season record. The Generals enter the match with a 4-7 record after their 47-34 non-league loss to Nelson County (Lovingston, VA).
With the defeat, Gretna moves to 6-9 on the year.
