The Deep Creek Hornets (Chesapeake, VA) basketball felled the host Lakeland Cavaliers (Suffolk, VA), 51-41 in Friday's non-league test.
The Hornets (6-10) will now prepare for their test against Great Bridge (Chesapeake, VA). The Wildcats go into the non-league test with a 2-12 record. In their last test, Great Bridge thwarted Hickory (Chesapeake, VA), 61-52, in a non-league test.
The Cavaliers now own a 4-5 record.
