Highland Hornets (Albuquerque, NM) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Grants Pirates (Grants, NM), 57-50 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Highland upgrades its record to 3-13 on the season. The Hornets travel to Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM) to play the Ravens in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 11. The Ravens go into the bout with a record of 3-11. Rio Grande won 50-40 in their recent non-league bout against Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM)

Next up, the Pirates play the Belen Eagles (Belen, NM) in a bout, on Tuesday, February 14. Grants will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record.
