Venus Bulldogs (Venus, TX) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Ferris Yellowjackets (Ferris, TX), 4-3 in a league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs confront the Alvarado Indians (Alvarado, TX) in a 4A Region 1 District 6 challenge, on Tuesday, February 14. Venus will attempt to better on its 4-2 season record. The Indians enter the challenge with a 5-8 record after their 1-0 league loss to Kennedale (Kennedale, TX).

The Yellowjackets now have a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Godley for a 4A Region 1 District 6 challenge on Tuesday, February 14. Ferris will confront a Wildcats team coming off a 5-0 league loss to Life Waxahachie (Waxahachie, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-5.
