Gregory-Portland Wildcats (Portland, TX) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Miller Buccaneers (Corpus Christi, TX), 3-0 in a league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats face the Ray Texans (Corpus Christi, TX) in a 5A Region 4 District 29 challenge, on Tuesday, February 14. Gregory-Portland will attempt to better on its 5-4 season record. The Texans enter the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 2-1 league loss to Miller (Corpus Christi, TX).

The Buccaneers now have a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Victoria East for a 5A Region 4 District 29 challenge on Tuesday, February 14. Miller will face a Titans team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Victoria West (Victoria, TX). The Titans record now stands at 3-7.
