Fans at Saturday's league challenge between the Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA) and the host Radford Bobcats (Radford, VA), saw Alleghany's basketball squad hold off Radford by a tally of 61-59.

With the victory, Alleghany improves its record to 18-5 on the campaign.

Next up, the Bobcats confront the Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA) in a Three Rivers challenge, on Wednesday, February 14. Radford will attempt to improve on its 10-11 season record. The Buffaloes come into the challenge with a 15-6 record after their 76-54 league win over Patrick County (Stuart, VA).
