Jackson City Tigers (Jackson, KY) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Elliott County Lions (Sandy Hook, KY), 55-39 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Jackson City upgrades its record to 4-16 on the season. The Tigers host Owsley County (Booneville, KY) to play the Owls / Lady Owls in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Owls / Lady Owls go into the bout with a record of 8-21. Owsley County won 52-48 in their recent non-league bout against Lynn Camp (Corbin, KY)

Next up, the Lions play the Robertson County Black Devils (Mt. Olivet, KY) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 12. Elliott County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-21 season record. The Black Devils go into the bout with a 3-20 record after their 94-40 non-league loss to Bracken County (Brooksville, KY).
