In Saturday's non-league outing, the Jamestown Eagles (Williamsburg, VA) basketball squad beat the visiting Essex Trojans (Tappahannock, VA), by a count of 79-70.
The Eagles (8-12) will now prepare for their outing against York (Yorktown, VA). The Falcons go into the Bay Rivers outing with a 10-9 record. In their last outing, York defeated Smithfield (Smithfield, VA), 61-60, in a league outing.
The Trojans now hold a 5-15 record.
