The North Platte Bulldogs basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Gering Bulldogs to 52 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 7-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northwest for a non-league contest on Monday, February 12. North Platte will meet a Vikings team coming off a 60-50 non-league loss to Beatrice (Beatrice, NE). The Vikings record now stands at 7-12.

The Bulldogs (7-13) will now prepare for their contest against Scottsbluff (Scottsbluff, NE). The Bearcats enter the B District 8 contest with a 16-6 record. In their last contest, Scottsbluff nudged McCook (McCook, NE), 59-52, in a league contest.
