The Vinton County Vikings basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Jackson Ironman/Ironladies to 51 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Vikings now sport a 15-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Meigs for a Tri-Valley I contest on Tuesday, February 13. Vinton County will meet a Marauders team coming off a 56-43 league win over Alexander (Albany, OH). The Marauders record now stands at 15-4.

The Ironman/Ironladies (15-6) will now prepare for their contest against Washington (Washington Courthouse, OH). The Blue Lions enter the Frontier contest with a 14-3 record. In their last contest, Washington ran past Logan Elm (Circleville, OH), 62-35, in a non-league contest.
