In Saturday's non-league outing, the Normal Community Ironmen (Normal, IL) basketball squad nipped the visiting Moline Maroons (Moline, IL), by a margin of 31-29.
The Ironmen (25-5) will now prepare for their outing against Normal West (Normal, IL). The Wildcats go into the Big Twelve outing with a 11-17 record. In their last outing, Normal West got by Bloomington (Bloomington, IL), 45-39, in a league outing.
The Maroons now own a 23-6 record. They play next when they travel to East Moline United for a Western Big 6 outing on Tuesday, February 13. Moline will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 80-54 league loss to Sterling (Sterling, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 15-10.
