The Pike County Central Hawks (Pikeville, KY) basketball crushed the host Shelby Valley Wildcats (Pikeville, KY), 75-49 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Hawks (13-7) will now prepare for their test against Mountain Mission (Grundy, VA). The Challengers go into the non-league test with a 14-4 record. In their last test, Mountain Mission walloped Wesley Christian (Allen, KY), 64-62, in a non-league test.
The Wildcats now own a 6-13 record. They play next when they travel to East Ridge for a District 59 test on Tuesday, February 13. Shelby Valley will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 78-51 non-league loss to Lawrence County (Louisa, KY). The Warriors record now stands at 8-11.
