The La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) basketball knocked off the host West Mesa Mustangs (Albuquerque, NM), 59-39 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Bears (12-5) will now prepare for their test against Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 5-6 record. In their last test, Piedra Vista went down by Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM), 58-49, in a non-league test.
The Mustangs now own a 11-5 record. They play next when they host Farmington for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 13. West Mesa will encounter a Scorpions squad coming off a 63-57 non-league win over Sandia (Albuquerque, NM). The Scorpions record now stands at 13-3.
