Cliff Cowboys/Cowgirls (Cliff, NM) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Animas Panthers (Animas, NM), 39-30 in a league bout.

With the victory, Cliff upgrades its record to 18-2 on the campaign. The Cowboys/Cowgirls travel to Quemado (Quemado, NM) to play the Eagles in a A District 2 bout on Thursday, February 15. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 14-8. Quemado lost 41-34 in their recent league bout against Reserve (Reserve, NM)

Next up, the Panthers play the Magdalena Steers (Magdalena, NM) in a A District 2 bout, on Tuesday, February 13. Animas will attempt to upgrade on its 11-10 season record. The Steers come into the bout with a 18-4 record after their 47-30 league win over Quemado (Quemado, NM).
