Colorado High School Basketball - Sanford tops Cotopaxi

February 10, 2024: Sanford, CO 81151

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Sanford Mustangs (Sanford, CO) and the visiting Cotopaxi Pirates (Cotopaxi, CO), saw Sanford's basketball squad knock off Cotopaxi by a count of 40-21.

With the victory, Sanford upgrades its record to 13-4 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Center (Center, CO) to play the Vikings in a 3A/2A Southern Peaks challenge on Friday, February 16. The Vikings come into the challenge with a record of 10-6.

Next up, the Pirates play the Springfield Longhorns (Springfield, CO) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, February 12. Cotopaxi will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a 9-8 record after their 47-35 non-league win over Cheraw (Cheraw, CO).
