Lawton-Bronson Eagles (Lawton, IA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union Royals (Marcus, IA), 68-64 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lawton-Bronson upgrades its record to 6-18 on the season. The Eagles travel to Hinton (Hinton, IA) to play the Blackhawks in a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Blackhawks go into the bout with a record of 19-3. Hinton won 65-34 in their recent league bout against Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA)

Next up, the Royals play the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks (Hartley, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, November 21. Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn/Remsen-Union will attempt to upgrade on its 5-15 season record.
