Susitna Valley Rams (Talkeetna, AK) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Petersburg Vikings (Petersburg, AK), 29-28 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Susitna Valley upgrades its record to 13-4 on the season. The Rams host Tok (Tok, AK) to clash with the Wolverines in a 2A Interior bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Wolverines go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Tok lost 61-39 in their recent non-league bout against Fort Yukon (Fort Yukon, AK)

Next up, the Vikings clash with the Metlakatla Chiefs (Metlakatla, AK) in a 2A Southeast bout, on Friday, February 16. Petersburg will attempt to upgrade on its 2-11 season record. The Chiefs go into the bout with a 14-2 record after their 85-29 league win over Wrangell (Wrangell, AK).
