Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Thunder Ridge Longhorns (Kensington, KS) and the visiting Pike Valley Panthers (Scandia, KS), saw Thunder Ridge's basketball squad hold off Pike Valley by a tally of 56-49.
With the victory, Thunder Ridge improves its record to 9-5 on the campaign. The Longhorns travel to Hill City (Hill City, KS) to confront the Ringnecks in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 12. The Ringnecks come into the challenge with a record of 1-13. Hill City lost 34-26 in their recent non-league challenge against Golden Plains (Rexford, KS)
Next up, the Panthers confront the St. John's/Tipton Catholic Blujays (Beloit, KS) in a Northern Plains challenge, on Tuesday, February 13. Pike Valley will attempt to improve on its 8-8 season record. The Blujays come into the challenge with a 9-2 record after their 49-45 league win over Osborne (Osborne, KS).
